A Look Inside Private Financial Company Offices in London
| August 11, 2020Private financial company recently hired workplace design firm Oktra to design their new office in London, England.
“This client came to us for the Cat B fit out of a three-floor workspace in London as they approached a lease expiry of their old office. They required a working environment that incorporated domestic design elements in order to bring a feeling of calm into the workspace for employees. While it needed to be comfortable, the design also needed to be impressive, modern and timeless, featuring a Scandinavian colour palette and other soothing finishes.
Our design team held long and detailed workshops with the client, studying their other locations and covering all aspects of the design scheme from function and impact to emotion and tactility. The client wanted their new workspace to follow the aesthetic of their other global offices, but with an unmistakable local identity. Health and wellbeing were key focuses for this design, which is currently in the process of being certified to the WELL standard.
This workplace has cellular offices for concentrated work, open plan desking supported by focus rooms, plenty of meeting rooms and is designed to grow as the client expands. There is a clear amount of detail and planning in elements like the feature staircase: an architectural gem in the heart of each floor that provides focal drama and direct connectivity,” says Oktra.
