Alternative Investment Management Firm Offices – Singapore
| May 13, 2022One Space Limited completed the offices for an alternative investment management firm with an expansive view and bright colors to match the natural light in Singapore.
Our client is a US-based alternative investment management firm focusing on global macro trading in interest rates and foreign exchange markets. For the Client’s third office in Asia, located in Singapore’s Financial District, we designed an open-plan environment with trading desks located at the heart of the premises.
The elongated floorplate at the corner of the tower offers open views across Collyer Quay. Nearly half of the floorplate is dedicated to a tightly choreographed client experience, culminating in a suite of meeting rooms with city views. Nevertheless, the most desirable views and access to daylight are reserved for the trading floor itself that enjoys a comfortably appointed Collaboration Area at the tower’s corner.
Thematically, the entire office celebrates Singapore’s rich history and modern development. A vibrant palette of Peranakan-inspired materials, coloursand detailing make for a unique, “not-too-corporate-vibe. For example, the fully equipped Open Pantry is finished in intricate mosaic tiling and an open-block screen wall that recall traditional Singaporean shophouse architecture.
Designed and delivered during the Covid-19 pandemic, this workplace design benefitted from foresight as the Singapore Government’s successive ‘Work From Home’ mandates changed everyone’s work habits. Here we created a long-term alternative to the home office, balancing comfort, confidentiality and productivity in a new style of work environment.
