Berkeley Research Group Offices – Boston
| August 26, 2021Unispace thoughtfully designed the Berkeley Research Group offices to give their company the specific spaces needed to encourage growth at their location in Boston, Massachusetts.
Berkeley Research Group’s Boston workplace looks beyond traditional workstyles and connects disciplines through shared hubs.
As a global advisory firm whose experts provide consultative services to organizations across all major sectors of the economy, BRG’s unique way of working required a space that inspires their big-picture thinking.
Having worked with BRG in other locations across the Americas, Unispace used the standards and processes they developed and adapted them to the local Boston context providing another geographic focal office that meets local needs and provides continuity on a global scale.
For this location, BRG needed a fast solution to meet their approaching lease date, and used Unispace’s full methodology to design and build a new space that accommodates their growth.
The space doubles the amount of seating and adds many new amenities to attract new talent. Private offices were reduced, which freed up additional staff and meeting space so BRG’s consultants could come together and better collaborate.
Increasing engagement across disciplines is encouraged throughout the space, and each section has co-working hubs that enable quick touch-bases, run-ins and informal client discussions. Staff also require focus space, so individual workstations are scattered throughout.
The layout of the office has a curved floor plan which Unispace’s design team leveraged to expand on the views from the 27th floor and provide ample access to daylight via full length perimeter glass. BRG’s brand colors of navy and light blue are incorporated throughout, further aligning the physical environment with the firms’ operational aspirations.
