Financial Institution Offices – San Francisco
| October 9, 2021Anne Sneed Architectural Interiors brought a clean layout to a financial institution’s offices highlighting the bay views of San Francisco, California.
For its San Francisco office, this nationwide financial institution purposefully selected a space that veered from the traditional dim, quintessential bank. They landed on an industrial, floor-through space near the Embarcadero with sweeping water views and a location in the heart of city life.
The bank tapped long-time collaborator Anne Sneed, founder and principal of Anne Sneed Architectural Interiors, to plan and design the interiors and build out the raw shell. Execs requested the team incorporate an open workspace with separated zones for specific tasks, flexible conference rooms with views out to San Francisco Bay, spaces for one-on-one meetings, a break room, and zero private offices at the perimeter windows. “We maintained the relationship of the open office and reception adjacent to the glass curtain wall to allow natural light deeper into the space,” Sneed says. “The more private, intimate spaces are located toward the central core, open to and facing the open offices, promoting interaction among the staff. Individual offices work as small meeting areas, eliminating the need for extra common meeting rooms.”
The material palette, consisting of exposed concrete floors, open ceilings, steel, and glass run throughout to maintain the industrial quality of the SoMa neighborhood, softened with the use of comfortable furnishings, luxe fabrics, and splashes of vibrant color. Custom mid-height wood workstations add the warmth of timber and the perfect level of privacy for employees.
