Inside Capital.com’s New London Office
| March 9, 2023Investment app Capital. com hired workplace design studio Modus to design their new office in London, England.
“The arrival experience acts as the heart of the workspace, an impactful statement that creates an instant buzz and provides an intriguing glimpse of what lies beyond. When exiting the lifts, you are met by a 3000mm x 2500mm transparent Nexnovo curved screen, the first of its kind to be installed in the UK. Directly above is a C shaped screen recessed into the ceiling wraps around a central pivot point, displaying media and a flickering light display to emulate live movement, captured by tracking sensors within the space. It is a seamless, flowing interaction with technology, that is reflected throughout the design of the working office areas.
Curved glass defines the space taking those visiting on an immersive journey that ignites the senses. The design takes advantage of the architecturally irregular angular nature of the floor plate, juxtaposing it with clean curves and reflective surfaces, creating a space that emulates connectivity and fluidity between technology and financial services.
The state-of-the-art metaverse room is an extraordinary yet fundamental feature of the office, creating visual intrigue due to its futuristic style that emulates the world within. An immersive gaming zone, inspired by the E-Gaming world takes centre stage with its dramatic contrast in design due to the black finish throughout, complimented by feature neon lighting.
Capital.com is not just a workspace, but an experience. A space that puts the employee first, making sure all needs are met, and provides ample reason why existing employees remain with the business, and why prospective employees look to join. It is one of a kind and will serve as an inspiring and dynamic space for analytical and creative minds to come together.”
