Link Market Services Offices – Sydney
| June 4, 2022GroupGSA built a multi-level workspace around an eye catching stair system at the Link Market Services offices in Sydney, Australia.
GroupGSA has delivered a bold, energetic workplace for Link Market Services by activating a colossal commercial floor plate using atypical materiality and design rigour for enhanced functionality.
The new Sydney headquarters, within the newly completed 6 & 8 Parramatta Square, marks the latest evolution of contemporary workplaces by GroupGSA as the design custodian of Link Market Service offices globally for more than 15 years.
The longstanding strategic client relationship has enriched the way the Link’s people work, says Danny Sindrivanis, Link Market Services General Manager of Property, Facilities and Procurement.
The Parramatta project provides a dynamic, connected workplace, accommodating Link’s employees within an environment focused on supporting staff health and wellbeing. GroupGSA has brought its global workplace design knowledge to the space, responding to the continued growth of Link, its culture and people.
Connectivity of the Parramatta site is augmented through an open tenancy stair connecting the seven floors and providing visual reinforcement of the scale of the Link business.
Tower 6 & 8 is the largest CBD commercial office building in Australia by gross floor area. GroupGSA Lead designer Jessica Margiotta said the design team took advantage of the long yet narrow 3000 sqm floorplates (21,000sqm in total) by positioning the breakout spaces central to the bold geometric stair and void to encourage cross-collaboration and movement between levels.
An expansive central void and atrium sits in the centre of the stack. Vast timber-look ceilings on each level were prototyped by Europanel to create an impressive visual line of sight from lower floors and accentuate breakout spaces on each level. A commanding continuous staircase, clad in ultra-matte black laminate, balances the volume of the space and creates a captivating focal point.
The interiors are harmonised by a multitude of textures and a playful mix of greys and neutral colour palettes, while embellished with furnishings by Stylecraft, Zenith and Living Edge.
The Parramatta site incorporates a Link Lab equipped with technology to showcase Link services to their clients. This is supported by a suite of client meeting spaces. Staff amenities and community spaces include staff training rooms, town hall spaces and wellness rooms.
The Parramatta headquarters combines several former office locations and has been propositioned as Link’s new western Sydney hub. Sindrivanis said the site was an important piece of real estate for the organisation.
GroupGSA’s most recently completed workplaces for Link Market Service Group include offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland and Leeds, in the UK.
