SodaStream Offices – Israel
| June 1, 2020Gindi Studio Architects have realized the office design for SodaStream, a manufacturing company known for home carbonation products located in Israel.
SodaStream is an Israeli company, operating in 42 countries worldwide.
The company, whose leading values are recycling, ecology and protecting the environment, aspired to embed these values in the design, and ensure they are fully expressed.
The design was mostly inspired by two main concepts:
The first concept: an environmental revolution, relying on the company’s five central principles, which led to the extensive use of recycled materials. Aside from being the ideal means to achieve their goal, using such material allowed for a truly innovative design and one-of-a-kind design.
Some of the elements include; lighting fixtures designed with waste leftovers; a conference room wall comprised of a plastic bottle disposal container, its bottles have been collected by the company on a beach cleanup in Honduras and have been flown to Israel especially for the project. The raw look was achieved by a concrete floor, birch wood paneling for a natural look, and a mineral bonded wood wool board ceiling.
The second concept: creating spaces for encounters between intersectional company programs; we treated those as “bubbles”.
Each bubble was designed differently to create interest throughout the project and link individuals from different departments. With a team of industrial and graphic designers, we’ve incorporated in the creation and design of every bubble used machine pieces and SodaStream bottles that have gone through an “upscaling” process and have become materials that made every bubble unique.
Furthermore, the company insisted their employees’ have spots for self-expression, all contained by the bubbles and other corners.
